Medical Assistant

Willis Knighton Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to work in a busy ENT clinic. The Medical Assistant will assist the Audiologist with the scheduling of patients.

This job responsibility will include verifying patient insurance, preauthorizations for hearing aids and assisting the physician with setting the patients up for their test. The supervising physician delineates the privileges and duties through skill assessment. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assessing the health status of patients and collaborating with the audiologist to establish care procedures; contributing to the planning of appropriate interventions, scheduling of tests and procedures as ordered.

Assist in administering treatments in accordance with department policies and procedures. Assessment of patients with objective and subjective symptoms utilizing appropriate clinical method and records; and providing educational needs and assisting in scheduling referral appointments and procedures as needed.

The applicant considered for this position must be a high school graduate and must be a graduate of an approved medical assistant program or have verification of documented experience in a medical office setting in patient care.
