Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy and other patient care procedures

  • Maintain established quality control standards

  • Record and process patient care documentation quickly and accurately

  • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies

  • Organize, stock and clean exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments

  • Maintains quality control standards and required Medical Assistant and CPR certifications

The pace is fast and you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities. You may be required to work in multiple locations, so scheduling flexibility is essential. You must also be able to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration or the ability to obtain the designation within 180 days of employment

  • Current CPR and/or BLS certification or the ability to attain the certification within 30 days of employment

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or related experience in a medical setting

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency

  • ICD-9/10 and CPT coding experience

  • Microsoft experience

  • Travel (if applicable) - Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and/or patient sites within a designated area

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-18T00:00 Under the supervision of the UM Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for the daily coordination of UM processes. This position serves as the initial intake of pre-service requests, claim reviews and inpatient hospital coordination. Coordinates UM processes with Medical Directors, UM Nurses, hospitals, physicians and other various departments. Provides clerical support to clinical staff in their medical necessity review process. Primary Responsibilities: * Receives and responds to telephone calls through the UM Phone Queue * Coordinates initial screening for UM service requests via phone, web portal, mail and fax * Coordinates initial screening for UM claim reviews through claim queue * Prepares administrative files for Medical Directors, UM Nurses and Case Managers * Performs daily Inpatient Census Reconciliation * Monitors UM inventory to ensure adherence to CMS regulations * Participates in meetings as needed for clerical support * Maintains knowledge of benefits, network, CMS regulations and policies * Non-clinical staff is not responsible for conducting any UM activity that requires interpretation of clinical information * Performs all other related duties as assigned This is a call center environment near NW PKWY / M – F: 9AM – 6PM (8HRS) / Rotating - Sat. – Sun.: 8AM – 5PM. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * 6 months or more previous related experience in healthcare, call center, and/or customer service * Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's Degree in a healthcare related field * 1 or more years previous related experience in healthcare, call center, and/or customer service * One or more years managed care experience in Prior Authorization or Claim Review * Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
