Connecticut Children's Medical Center, located within St. Mary's hospital in Waterbury, is a teamwork oriented inpatient floor.
We provide care to both medical and surgical patients within a 12 bed unit. We work as part of the float pool within the main hospital located in Hartford. Our team is crossed trained to all of the inpatient and ICU's units.

Connecticut Children's Medical Center is always seeking to identify qualified Medical Assistants to fill Medical Assisting positions which become available on a regular basis. If you are a Certified Medical Assistant with experience and/or interest in working with pediatric patients and their families, we would like to get to know you.

Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager and /or Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Assistants perform a variety of administrative, clinical, departmental support, and documentation duties to promote the health, safety, and comfort of CT Children's patients and families. Medical Assistants play a key role in the patient care model in most of our outpatient specialty and primary care practices. Depending upon the practice, Medical Assistants may be responsible for checking patients in/out, helping to answer phones, checking and recording vital signs, rooming patients, stocking, performing point-of-care testing, and helping nurses and other medical providers.
