Description

Integrative Internal Medicine at Washington Regional Internal Medicine Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant with clinical care experience to assist our Registered Nurse and Internal Medicine Provider and be part of our care team. This position is full time and benefit eligible.

Our medical practice develops treatment plans based in lifestyle awareness, utilizing both alternative and conventional therapies to achieve healthcare goals. We provide both acute care coverage along with chronic disease management that focuses on every aspect of our patients' lives. In addition, we serve a smaller patient panel, allowing our staff more time to communicate with patients about their health care needs.

Position Summary

The role of the Medical Assistant reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the nurse and front office with day-to-day duties.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and input data into the electronic medical records system

• Perform any necessary CLIA-waive tests

• Clean room after patient use

• Ensure exam rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies

• Appropriately process soiled instruments

• Assist front desk with daily operations, as needed

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED

• Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a previous medical assistant role, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
