Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Medical Assistant who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Medical Assistant position is responsible for the overall clinical and clerical operation to include urgent care and occupational medicine. This consist of ensuring that patient charts are complete prior to the Provider seeing the patient, cleaning and stocking patient exam rooms, ordering medical supplies, and ensuring that all medical equipment receives the required routine maintenance and is maintained in an orderly fashion.

The Medical Assistant position is also responsible for ensuring that patients are triaged and seen in accordance to office policy. The Medical Assistant position is responsible for ensuring that every patient receives excellent service and quality care. The Medical Assistant position should be able and willing to fill in at any other position in the office as required to ensure excellent patient service. Actions and attitude that contributes to the critical success factors of the organization.

Qualified candidates will possess:

High school or GED

Phlebotomy certification preferred Medical Certificate required

1-year experience preferred

Strong customer service skills

Ability to handle a multi task environment; strong organizational skills.

Ability to work within a team environment and enhance the working relationship within that team

Basic PC skills

Medical Terminology

Good verbal and written communication skills
