Amazing Opportunity for on the job training!# Next Class Starts July 29th-Oct 18th!! Paid Medical Assistant training program which includes attendance of eight week classroom training and four week (160 hours) clinical internship. Tuition based program (grant monies available to apply for to cover costs). Successful completion of program will require demonstrating competency in selected skills throughout the program and passing the final exam.
Clinical internship will include four weeks of training under direct supervision and responsibility of preceptor/liaison. Classroom work will include attendance of 40 hours per week of classroom education for eight weeks. Program graduates will be prepared to work as a Medical Assistant in a Core Physician#s practice.
Requirements: High School Graduate#or GED Major Responsibilities: Perform clinical duties such as assisting provider in examinations, procedures and obtaining vital signs. Clean instruments and exam rooms as needed.
Prepare instruments for sterilization as required. Order and stock exam rooms with appropriate medical supplies. Call in prescriptions as directed by the provider.
May schedule preâ€'admission and diagnostic testing, follow up with patients after surgeries. May perform any of the following administrative duties: answering telephone inquiries, scheduling, organizing patient charts, filing, pulling and copying patient records. Maintain and adhere to established Core policies and procedures and federal regulations, including, patient confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
