Medical Assistant- Team Leader
Medical Assistant-Team Leader - Competitive salary based on experience- stipends/bonuses. Generous benefits package including medical, dental, life, std, ltd, 401k/pension, tuition reimbursement, holidays, advanced PTO, etc. Convenient free parking.
Performs a variety of patient care duties to assist the Physicians and clinical staff. Encourages daily team discussion to maximize efficiency, reviews lab ordering process, orders supplies, updates training guidelines, etc.

Requirements
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and skills needed to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in using various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures. Skill in taking vital signs and venipuncture.
Skill in maintaining relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies. Ability to interpret adapts and applies guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly.
Experience: Five years as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy experience. Two years as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist at HOACNY.
Certificate and licensure: Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant Certification required.
CPR certification required.
Salary Description
$18.50+
