Medical Assistant, Stoneham

Medical Assistant, Stoneham is Full Time, M-F Days with benefits.

Under the supervision of departmental administrative, physician, and nursing staff, this position is responsible for coordinating the flow of patients throughout the outpatient exam process in accordance with the needs of the clinical practice.

Clinic Duties

1.Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, including scopes and documents on daily log sheets per MEEI policy and standards.

2.Manage inventory for clinical supplies and medications.

3.Set up and clean exam and procedure rooms according to infection control standards.

4.Insures that equipment is working properly and notifies appropriate personal when a problem is identified.

5.Bring patients back to exam room, take vitals and patient history, document allergies, complete medication reconciliation, and ensure all information is properly documented in electronic medical record.

6.Support in-office procedures in exam room per physician request.

7.Performs all other duties required to assist in and/or insure the delivery of complete otolaryngology care and processing of patients.

8.Provide support to other colleagues in the office; help to cover and fill in as needed if other staff members are out of the office, per instruction from Practice Manager.

9.Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, by phone, in discussion and by electronic distribution of information.

10. Perform other projects as assigned by Manager or Physicians.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED

• Excellent communication skills to promote harmonious working relationships among professional staff and between other disciplines and departments to provide quality patient care.

• Ability to be a team player.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Successful completion of certified training program.
