Medical Assistant - Rheumatology

CMA or RMA Needed at Physician's Group in Fort Wayne, IN Our client, a large Healthcare system in Northern Indiana, has a need for a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. The medical assistant prepares patients for physical examination, obtains specimens, conducts select routine laboratory tests and records results, and performs phlebotomy, routine diagnostic tests under the general supervision of clinic supervisor and following established procedures and precedents.

Rooming and discharging patients Scheduling appointments Assists physicians, as needed, in the patient examination process Prepare patients for examination and obtain vital signs Document chief complaint, medications, and allergies Administer medications and treatments Fulfills environmental responsibilities which may include: setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment; cleaning sterilizer, etc. Experience, Skills, & Certification Required: Minimum 2 years experience in clinic/internal medicine office required High school graduate or the equivalent with GED required Graduate from a Medical Assistant program required Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant required Experience with EPIC preferred If you or anyone you know is interested, qualified, and available for employment, please send an updated resume to us for consideration.
