Medical Assistant Receptionist

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Medical Assistant Receptionist to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7:15AM-3:45PM.

FREE Parking Responsibilities: Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures Prepare patients and maintain charts in EPIC Prepare rooms for the providers Check and enter vitals in EPIC Check patients in and out during office days Answer phone calls and transcribe message to physicians Schedule appointments and tests for patients. Verify and review allergies, medications, medical history, and social history with patients Prepare patients for office visits and/or pre-op patients for procedures Assist nurses and patients during the stages of procedures and post op Assist physician with office based procedures Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment Obtain anticoagulant holds prior to procedures and relay instructions to patients Transmit messages to nursing staff or physician through EPIC Stock the office and procedure areas with medical supplies Maintain a clean and healthy environment ​ Qualifications: Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields Strong organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records preferred Certification preferred, other applicants may be considered Ability to build rapport with patients Compassionate and caring demeanor Familiarity with medical terminology Reliable Transportation
