Prompt Care offers an appointment-based convenient care option for patients who require timely, same day medical care. Staffed by experienced Wentworth Health Partners providers, we treat adults and children of all ages, three months and older and provide expert care for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, including:

  • Allergies

  • Acute back or joint pain

  • Bronchitis

  • Colds, flu, cough/sore throat

Patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best. It is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the highest quality care with compassion and concern.

Prompt Care has a small office feel with six providers and five clinical team members. Prompt Care offers a steady work pace with two provider schedules and an average visit volume of 45-50 patients per day. Teamwork is the foundation for successful day-to-day operations.

Are you ready to help us deliver top-notch care and exceed patients' expectations of what a visit to the doctor is like?

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday.

Our operating hours are Mondays and Tuesdays 8:00am-7:00pm, and Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm. In addition to these weekday operating hours, Prompt Care is open for limited hours on the following holidays: MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, and Indigenous Peoples' Day. Prompt Care is looking forward to expanding operating hours to better meet the needs of our patients. As we look to expand services there may be a need for additional coverage outside of the shifts mentioned above.

As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. Responsibilities include:

  • Functioning as a "flow manager"/ensuring efficient patient flow through the office

  • Assisting with direct patient care during the office visit (examination, procedures, point of care testing, and treatments as directed)

  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks (chart prep, phone triage, appointment scheduling, check-in and check-out, in-basket messages, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)

  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas

  • Providing an exceptional care experience by interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.

We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support.
