Position:
Medical Assistant (MA) program director, Full-time, Benefitted, Tenure-track, Faculty categorized, FLSA Exempt, Main Campus located in Torrington, Evening Classes, 11or12-month annual renewing contract. Term negotiable.
Salary Hire Amount:
$55,000-$65,000 annually for each 11-month contract period
Actual amount depends on Education and Experience
The Medical Assistant (MA) program director is a full-time, benefitted, tenure-track, faculty categorized position located at the Torrington Campus. The MA Program Director must use multiple learning methods in the classroom to maximize student learning. The primary duty is to prepare and deliver in-class, hybrid, and/or on-line instruction to students with the ability to provide flexible class scheduling as needed. Strong personal leadership, organization, instruction and communication skills are needed to meet program requirements and enable student success.
Full-time faculty members are contracted to teach the equivalent of 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall and Spring terms). Full - time faculty are expected to be on campus a minimum of thirty (30 hours per week including five (5) posted office hours per week.

Coordinate the overall Medical Assistant (MEDA) program by exercising leadership in the area of program curriculum development, maintenance, and delivery of program courses.
Collaborate with Admissions staff and Recruiters to plan and participate in program recruitment
activities.
maintenance; upgrades and acquisition; supply inventory management; orientation for faculty,
students, and guests; maintain lab calendar and lab usage data/reports; and maintain lab
guidelines/policies/procedures.
regularly with students regarding their progress in the program.
districts, internship site coordinators, and potential employers to stay informed on entry-level
job skill requirements.
scheduling and assignment of students at practicum sites.

Utilize assessment data for periodic program reviews including program strategic planning,
budgeting and data reporting (retention/persistence/completion).
Assist the Director of Nursing with hiring, orienting, mentoring, oversight, and evaluations of adjunct faculty.
Assist the Director of Nursing with coordination of course offering schedules and faculty assignments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Current and valid state-issued Driver's License
Previous instruction experience teaching adults, on-line course in teaching adults or supervising MA's
