The Medical Assistant maintains and supports the clinic environment in a manner conducive to delivering safe, efficient, and quality patient care. Under the direction of the Chiropractors, the Medical Assistant will provide patient care, support, and guidance. The successful candidate will play a role in helping to maintain high patient satisfaction.

Responsibilites
Notify doctor the follow up patient has arrived and check the patient's chart to see they do any supportive therapies
Guide the patient to their respected supportive therapies and set them up to the their respected treatment
Transition patients from supportive therapies to the treatment room or vice versa.
Keep an eye on arrival screen and be ready to start patients every 15 minutes
When working with patients:
Interact with them and ask how they are feeling
Maintain professionalism regarding conversations in the clinic
Maintain a clean and sanitized clinic/office
If you hear a timer go off, immediately check on the patient
Patient care, support, and guidance
Execute plans of care under guidance of Chiropractic providers.
Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.)
Scribe for Chiropractors during patient visits
Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
Clinic flow
Monitor patient arrivals to department.
Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.
Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.
Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager
