This is why Compass is looking for a Treatment Room MA or CNA to join our team at our West Cancer Center outside of Tigard, OR. Assisting our patients and staff in our Infusion Treatment Room, this MA/CNA will be an extra set of eyes and hands for our treatment room team, helping patients get snacks, assisting them to and from the rest rooms, and help maintain our new sanitization practices. Location: Tigard, OR
Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician's schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.
Helps to maintain the treatment room area including cleaning/sanitizing chairs, table, equipment, and other common surfaces.
Will help with sharps disposal following all appropriate guidelines.
Assisting to and from rest room and disinfecting after use.
Bring snacks and drinks to patients while they are receiving infusion treatments.
Monitoring and stocking supplies in treatment room area.
Responds to patients' calls as requested.
Taking care of the Paxman machines and assisting patients with use.
Alerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patient.
Collection of inbound meaningful use data. Flu documentation, initial height and weight.
Prints med list for patient to review.
Fill out disability forms.
Answer and triage calls.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum three years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
Completion of accredited Medical Assisting or Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
