Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care according to the standards of care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus.

• Clearly communicates, both orally and in writing, to foster staff and patient understanding of treatment plan.

• Provides quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.

• Ability to learn to perform direct patient care, basic nursing procedures.

• Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients' needs and responses to care

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Graduate from certified medical assistant school program.

• Registered with an accredited agency for Medical Assistants or Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant through the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Work experience in a comparable health care setting
