General Summary

Perform a variety of patient care services for Occupational Health clients, under the direction of and in conjunction with the Director, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Medical Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

• Detail-oriented and analytical, strong organizational and planning skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all educational and socioeconomic levels

• Proficient computer skills, including ability to learn new systems/software

• Understanding of medical terminology, with special emphasis on Occupational Health

Required Length/Type of Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.

Required Education/Licensure/Certification

• Certification from a Medical Assistant program

• Maintain required certifications, such as chain of custody for urine drug screen, spirometry, audiometric testing

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

• Ability to lift 20 pounds

• Must be flexible and adaptable to various environments

• Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
