Treating patients for treatment of outpatient acute, episodic and some minor chronic medical problems. The centers are open weekdays and weekends. Centers are staffed by licensed physicians; physician assistants; nurse practitioners; licensed nurses, certified medical assistants, laboratory technicians, registered radiographic technologists; and administrative support staff. Progressive Physical Therapy (PPT) was founded over 20 years ago. These centers are staffed with certified, highly skilled therapists with years of experience and specialized training.Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of credible Medical Assistant program. Certified EMT can be substituted for Medical Assistant Certification, provided the employee is also qualified on all job duties for a Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant (MA)) provides direct support and assistance to physicians and mid-level practitioners in the provision of ambulatory medical care; supports clinical service areas by greeting patients, verifying demographic information, obtaining reason for visit, vital signs and other clinical information; assists providers with procedures; administers injections and other medication. <br><br> May work some evening and Saturday hours. Requires successful completion of a criminal background check and health screening. For a complete application, submit both a cover letter and resume.</p><p>Additional Information:</p><p>Required: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an accredited medical assistant school; certified or registered Medical Assistant; must obtain Basic Life Support- Health Care Worker (BLS-HCW) certification prior to start date.</p><p>Desired: One year of work experience in an outpatient medical facility; previous front-line customer service experience; excellent verbal communication skills; knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT coding; 6 months of electronic health information system training or experience; keyboarding training or experience.</p><p>Starting pay range for this role is $15.00-$16.50 per hour.</p><p>The successful candidate selected for this position will receive a $2,000 recruitment bonus. Internal transfers from the Wexner Medical Center are not eligible to receive the recruitment bonus.</p><p>Ohio State is focused on enhancing the health and safety of our community. Therefore, the university is requiring every student, faculty and staff member to be compliant with Ohio State's COVID-19 vaccine requirement.</p><p>By the start of employment, all newly hired employees must receive at least the first dose of a two-dose series or a single dose of a one-dose series COVID-19 vaccination. Individuals who choose a two-dose series vaccination must receive the second dose within 45 days of their start date. Proof of vaccination will be required at time of hire.</p><p>Candidates may request a medical or religious exemption from the vaccination requirement.
