Medical Assistants provide clinical support to healthcare professionals to deliver quality of care to our patients. Medical Assistants perform a variety of clinical and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to care team

  • Prepare patient for provider, collect medical history, and take vitals

  • Document patient visits and complete referrals

  • Perform clerical tasks such as answer patient calls, monitor in-basket, and generate reports

  • Includes other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Completion of a competency based orientation program

Licenses - certified as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or registered as a Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) within 120 days of hire

Basic Life Support within 120 days

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as Medical Assistant in Women's Health

Each medical director will have a primary line of business to support in achieving our mission. The physician will be expected to lead the clinical care decision-making process in accordance with both state and federal guidelines when applicable for the specific line of business. The guiding principles, starting with the Right care, Right time, Right place and Right price, will guide the physician's leadership. The key expectations will include strong ability to provide clinical leadership to the Priority Health care team including utilization management for Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, and Medical. Utilization Management and Care Management, together will be the activities to best support the 4 Rights. In addition, the physician's role will support the care team and will provide leadership to existing and new initiatives as the clinical subject matter expert. The medical director will champion the benefit of clinically appropriate care through evidence-based guidelines and professional clinical acumen. This position will work in dyad collaboration with the clinical line of business leader, (Director, Sr. Director).
