• Completion of accredited program for example (AMT) or (RMA) with Medical Assistant Certificate.

• High School diploma or G.E.D.

• Minimum 1 year experience working as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.

• Computer knowledge (for instance, use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and data entry experience is required. Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills.

• Quality documentation and record keeping skills

• Ability to effectively meet competing priorities within expected timeframes

• Certification as a phlebotomist preferred.
