This posting is for full-time, first shift Monday
Friday 7:00am
3:30pm.
Earn $18.31/hr.!
Position Details
Assist providers with the examination of people in recovery (PIR); measuring vital signs, venipuncture, including collecting specimens and for laboratory analysis
Prepare PIR paperwork for provider appointments
Prepare rooms for examination by the provider
Maintain a steady flow of PIRs in the medical department
Respond to medical emergencies
Complete required documentation timely.
Exemplify customer service by answering phones and interacting with program members, staff, clinicians, and visitors in a timely and pleasant manner
Use the EHR to check in clients presenting for appointments
Schedule follow-up appointments and re-schedule appointments when necessary
Work closely with medical staff and communicate when clients have arrived for appointments
Help to resolve client's issues as they arise to avoid escalation
Utilize de-escalation skills when appropriate
Positively interact with clients when waiting to see medical staff
Accept changes in assignments in the spirit of good teamwork; accept constructive feedback about performance or behaviors; demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving relating to issues or concerns
Escort PIRs and all guests around the facility as needed

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
A High School diploma or GED is required.
A Medical Assistant certificate is required.
Minimum of one (1) year working as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
Certification in phlebotomy is preferred.
