We are seeking medical assistants/certified medical assistants/LPNs . You will have the opportunity to participate in the following:

  • Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.

  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.

  • Certified medical assistants/LPNs may assist with immunizations or injections.

  • Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.

  • Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.

  • Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.

  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying DMG CARE values.

  • Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Education and Certification

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in life sciences.

  • Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)

  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

  • National Health career Association (NHA)

  • LPN license in State of Illinois

  • CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire.

  • May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire

Experience

  • Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, LPN or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.

  • Prior experience using an electronic medical record preferred.

  • College graduates from a life sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and in pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome to apply.

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-05T00:00 Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Location: Glen Ellyn and Elmhurst PRIMARY PURPOSE Primarily performs OB/GYN sonographic procedures on high risk obstetric patients. Ensures quality standards are met and promotes continuous quality improvement. Maintains current knowledge of sonographic technology and equipment, as applicable. Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills. Acts as a knowledge resource for students, technologists, and others.           MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES * Ultrasound procedures * Performs abdominal and transvaginal OB/Gyn sonographic procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner * Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance to department protocols. Submits images for physician interpretation * Record documentation * Verifies accuracy of patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results * Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimal patient care. Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift * Assist provider and practice * Assists physician with in office procedures related to obstetric care, including but not exclusive to, amniocentesis and chronic villi sampling * Able to assist physician with fetal echo studies. Actively participates in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care * Works closely with nurses and physicians to achieve positive outcomes and optimal patient flow * Office duties * Monitors stock of supplies in imagining rooms to assure their regular availability by timely reordering, rotation of dated items, and by maintenance of a clean and orderly environment * Reports incidences of equipment failure and actively supports organizational changes * Adheres to institutional safety procedures as described in the institutional safety program * Performs job functions while modeling service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to patients, families, co-workers and others * Patient education * Provides patient education in the form of written material and/or verbal explanation prior to, during and subsequent to the procedure in order to reduce the patient's anxiety and enhance comfort zone with respect to tolerance of the procedure MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED License / Registration / Certification * American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification is mandatory * RDMS (AB, OB) required * Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification required and must be renewed every two years * Maintains, or obtains (within 3 months of hire), active Nuchal Translucency License while employed Issued by (Governing Body) * American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) * RDMS (AB, OB) Level of Education * Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Field of Study * Diagnostic Medical Sonography Years of Experience * 4 years Describe Type of Experience * 3 years general ultrasound experience with an additional 1-3 years MFM sonography experience required MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA) * Must be flexible in covering different shifts and locations * Excellent communication and listening skills * Daily ability to make quick and accurate decisions and handle stressful situations * Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other department specific software * Annually maintain and update educational requirements ABOUT DUPAGE MEDICAL GROUP Join one of the fastest-growing healthcare teams in Chicagoland and experience what superior care and innovation is all about.
