The Limited Licensed Technician performs limited diagnostic procedures as licensed with a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, radiographic techniques, and positioning. They assume responsibilities for designated areas or functions as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills demonstrating a commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with every internal and external customer

  • Produces diagnostic radiographs with a comprehensive knowledge of all techniques and positioning procedures

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of dark room procedures

  • Explains the procedures to patients and checks for understanding

  • Ensures that the patient's needs for privacy and confidentiality are met and that the patient is physically covered whenever possible

  • Maintains a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff according to company and department policies

  • Performs general office duties, including coordination of the daily Radiology schedule

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of file room management

  • Orders supplies as needed

  • Ensures that the delivery of services reflects efficient and effective use of supplies and appropriate utilization of resources

  • Consistently demonstrates knowledge of infection control standards

  • Consistently uses and reinforces proper body mechanics and appropriate personal protection equipment

  • Self-identifies unsafe systems, processes, or situations and reports them using the appropriate forms and always adheres to safety policies and procedures

  • Always adheres to Universal Precautions

  • Attends and participates in educational programs and shares knowledge with peers

  • Uses, protects, and discloses patients' protected health information (PHI) only following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

  • Current California X-Ray Technician Limited Permit

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers (AHA)

  • 1+ years of experience

Preferred Qualification:

  • 3+ years of experience working in radiology

California Residents Only: The hourly range for California residents is $18.80 to $36.78 per hour.
