We have a new position for a Medical Assistant (MA) with Main Line HealthCare's Lankenau Heart Group located at The Lankenau Medical Center in Philadelphia (Chestnut Street). This position is 24 hours and the schedule is M,W,Th from 8AM-4:30PM. The Medical Assistant must speak Mandarin.

Our group includes experienced board certified physicians, nurses and staff who collaborate to provide each patient with outstanding, personalized care. Our team of cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and sub-specialists offer uncompromising care at convenient locations throughout the Philadelphia area, including Lankenau Medical Center (home to our state-of-the-art Heart Pavilion), Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital, as well as many community offices across the region. Services include General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Heart failure, Cardiac surgery and Aortic surgery.
Medical Assistant Position and job functions:
Multi-skilled health professional who works interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to the patient
Perform basic Medical Assistant tasks, including but not limited to, vital signs, routine blood draws, immunization, injections point of care testing, and EKG's and provides care that is consistent with Main Line HealthCare's policies and external regulations and requirements
Prepare patients for physician/practitioner exams
Complete the nursing portion of the patient medical records using approved documentation standards
Assist physicians/practitioners as requested for basic and emergency procedures
Maintain smooth patient flow by monitoring physician/practitioner work and anticipating their needs
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
BLS for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire or within 30 days of start date
Current CPR Certification
Medical Assistant Certification preferred at time of hire
Proficient in medical procedures and medical terminology required
One year Medical Assistant experience preferred
Experience working in a surgical center environment preferred
Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applicants preferred
Knowledge of third party payers preferred
