Medical Assistant II

DEPARTMENT: CALEXICO O/P CENTER #7182

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant II is also responsible for assisting physicians and other allied health care professionals with procedures on adults and children such as, preparing medical records, obtaining vital signs, urinalysis testing, , preparing the patient and room for procedures/exams, etc. etc. Answers telephones, schedules follow-up appointments and typing of vital signs, etc. into the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Successful completion of Medical Assistant course

• CPR American Heart Association

• Certification of competency (Indication training completed for Ten (10) clock hours of training in administering injections and performing skin tests)

• High School Diploma

• Clerical and clinical proficiency or show proof of equivalent qualifications

• Speak, Read, Write English

Position Pay Range: $16.00-$20.85/hour
