JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing assistance with various health care services, and for assisting with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments and taking phone messages. Under the direction of a Physician or APC, provides care within scope of Medical Assistant Certification or Registration to patients referred to the clinic. Functions as a member of the health care team and is responsible for providing routine care under the supervision of a provider to meet patient and provider needs within the practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Medical Assistants must become certified within 90 days of hire OR a Credentialed MA (Certified/Registered).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment date.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Excellent oral communication skills required.

Computer skills required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree preferred.

Prior outpatient experience preferred.

The RN Clinic assesses physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients and families. May work in an inpatient or outpatient setting as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required. Ability to communicate with members of the multidisciplinary team with written and verbal proficiency Ability to coordinate patient care with other interdisciplinary staff Proficiency in clinical management of complex patients Flexibility and multitasking skills Strong ability to use data, computer systems, and electronic health records in support of patient care delivery Understanding of the latest evidence-based oncology, immunology, pharmacology, community health, and cultural sensitivity information PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of RN experience preferred.
