• Organize patient schedules and manage patient flow efficiently.

• Escort patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist with transfers and preparations.

• Provide patient assistance with activities such as walking, dressing, and specimen collection.

• Gather patient information, take vitals, and perform screenings as per provider guidelines.

• Communicate instructions to patients and their families clearly and effectively.

• Handle patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.

• Prepare patient rooms, set up equipment, and maintain cleanliness between visits for infection control.

• Manage inventory of supplies and restock exam/procedure rooms as needed.

• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs as required.

• Assist physicians with procedures and document patient information accurately.

• Answer phone calls, provide information, and offer patient education as directed.

• Obtain and manage lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information.

• Schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, and update patient demographics.

• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and comply with regulatory agency requirements.

• Administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician supervision.

Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities

Preferences

• Previous medical assistance experience
• EPIC knowledge

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
