We are currently recruiting for a FT Medical Assistant/Front Office to be a part of our Urgent Care Team!!! Looking for customer friendly employees to be a part of this growing organization.

Provides patient care services in the back office medical setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient. Will be required to float to the front office as needed by the CM.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Employed in Arizona

Education:
1.Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; and
2.Completion of an Approved Medical Assistant Training Program; or

  • a medical assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health;or
  • a medical assisting program accredited by The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES); or
  • a medical assisting program accredited by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education; or
  • a training program offered by a Medical Doctor that meets or exceeds the requirements of an accredited
    3.Completion of an unapproved medical assistant training program and passage of the medical assistant examination administered by either the American Association of Medical Assistants or the American Medical Technologists.

The above requirements do not apply to any person who before 2/2/00:

  • Completed an unapproved medical assistant training program and was employed as a medical assistant after program completion; or

  • Was directly supervised by the same physician group, or physician assistant for a minimum of 2000 hours; or

  • Completed a United States Armed Forces medical services training program

Employed in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Wyoming

Education:
1.Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; and
2.Completion of an Approved Medical Assistant Training Program; or

    4.One year experience working as a medical assistant or other similar healthcare role; or
    5.Completion of a United States Armed Forces medical services training program; or
    6.Completion of a program comparable to a medical assisting program. Certification (applies to all states employed):

Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety Council.

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience: Prior recent experience in an emergency department, urgent care or other clinical setting.

Receives cash, or credit cards from guests and records transactions. Answers inquires pertaining to hotel services. Promotes positive guest relations. Operates computer terminal at Front Desk. Supervision Exercised Reports to the Front Desk Supervisor. Major Duties and Responsibilities Provides all guests with friendly, courteous and timely service. Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests on arrival. Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts. Computes bills, collects payments, and makes change for guests. Provides back up to reservations by making and confirming reservations. Posts charges for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls, to guest accounts. Transmits and receives messages. Issues room keys. Answers inquiries pertaining to Sandia Resort and Casino. Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safes or safe-deposit boxes. Stocks brochures at front desk. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of computers and Windows software. Basic mathematic skills. The ability to run a computerized cash register. Excellent organizational skills Requirements: Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent. One (1) year experience in a hotel or customer service job. Must be at least 18 years of age. Licensing Status Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
