Medical Assistant For Dermatology Practice

Who are we looking for in a Medical Assistant?

The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multi-task. The MA is responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultative and surgical procedures in Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch.

Medical Assistant Primary Duties:

• Assisting physicians in providing quality care to patients

• Providing side by side assistance with surgical procedures

• Reviewing medical history

• Maintaining notes in EMR

• Obtaining appropriate consent

• Calling in prescriptions

• Performing patient callbacks

Medical Assistant Skills and Qualities:

• Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers

• Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice

• Proficient communication skills (written and verbal)

• Flexible hours

• Able to travel between two locations

Required Experience and Education:

• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification preferred

• Hands-on experience in a clinic setting

• Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred
