Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Float Medical Assistant to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Responsibilities: Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures Escort patients to exam rooms Qualifications:
Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields Familiarity with medical billing procedures Strong organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment High Volume Gynecology Clinic seeking experienced MA Responsible for rooming patients and performing thorough patient intakes in a fast paced, demanding, professional office environment. Assists physicians and nurse practitioners with exams as needed and provide support for procedures. Knowledge of collecting lab specimens and blood draws and properly preparing them for pickup.
Sterilizing instruments, stocking and cleaning rooms daily. Must have the ability to work as a team as well as independently, take direction and apply it and perform well under pressure. Computer savvy and experience with electronic medical records necessary to perform effectively.
Good phone etiquette and ability to communicate clearly required as we offer telehealth services. Job may require occasional travel to offices in multiple locations throughout the valley for eight to ten hour shifts Monday through Friday. One evening shift per week until 7:00 pm.
Education: high school diploma. Medical assistant certification preferred. Previous gynecology experience helpful.
Must have thorough knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures as well as 3-5 years of clinical experience.
