Medical Assistant

Actalent is currently hiring for a Medical Assistant in the Norfolk, VA area!

Job Description:

• Provides safe and effective delivery of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks under the direction and continuous supervision of a licensed health care provider.

• Provides appropriate clinical and non-clinical information to facilitate visit process.

• Maintains sterility and cleanliness of the environment.

• Maintains supplies, equipment and instruments.

• Supports and performs clerical functions as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills:

Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Pediatrics, triage, taking vitals

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Pediatrics is definitely ideal, this person must be comfortable working with children. Hospital experience is not required, this can be someone from a practice setting. Clerical experience such as prior auth is highly preferred.
