Job Description Job Description FAST PACE, EXCITING ENVIRONMENT, AMAZING CO-WORKERS: Eastside Dermatology is looking for a full or part-time medical assistant.

Monday-Friday work week; no evenings or weekends . Must have a minimum of 1-year of medical assistant experience. Summary A Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled professional responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under the supervision of the Office Administrator. They are an integral part of the healthcare team assisting in patient care management.

Job Responsibilities Verify patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit Enter medical history and visit information into EHR Ask pertinent medical questions and data entry into EHR Prepare patients for exams by providing them with proper drapes or gowns and preparing them for the visit when the Physician. Taking photographs as directed per protocol and providers Assisting physician during medical examination and procedures Instruct patients on the proper usage of medications, and provide educational handouts when needed Phone in and send electronic prescriptions to various pharmacies Change wound dressings or remove sutures with the direction of a provider Collect, log, and package lab specimens for transport Sterilize medical instruments Scribe office visits Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent certificate Prior experience in medical office - Required Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred) Familiarity with the ModMed EMA EMR (preferred) Thorough understanding of HIPAA law Team player Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits:
