Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA, this position is responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living and promoting growth in the areas of functional skills, personal needs, communication, and personal adjustment.

Education : High School Diploma required. Associate's Degree preferred. CMA or CNA certification preferred.
Experience : 2 years experienceworking in a medical setting. At least one year experience working with a developmentally disabled population.
Impeccable organizational skills.
Active drivers license is required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Assisting medical staff in the coordination of medical appointments, care of clients, and the daily function of the department.
Assisting with providing transportation and support to clients at medical appointments.
Acting as liaison between Physicians and Devereux Nursing staff. Complies with regulatory and facility policies on client health management.
Accurately monitoring and documentsingmedical signs/charts.
Working in conjunction with the nursing personnel for client health care needs.
Communicating with treatment teams, family members, and other stakeholders as assigned.
