Medical Assistant, Full time, Day Shift, Milwaukee

Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Schedules, records, tracks and notifies members of appointments, as assigned. Arranges transportation and escorts members to appointments, as needed.

• Tracks various laboratory skills and procedures.

• Performs routine clinical skills and tasks including, but not limited to phlebotomy, blood glucose checks, oxygen checks, and vital signs, weights, charting information, and stocking clinics.

• Reports abnormal findings to primary care or RN case manager for follow up.

Medical Assistant Job Requirements:

Education: College Diploma in Medical Assisting Required or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a direct care or administrative support role in a clinic or geriatric health care setting may be substituted.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of personal or employment experience providing care or services for adults with disabilities and the elderly population. Phlebotomy skills strongly preferred

Certification: Certified Medical Assistant preferred

Medical Assistant Job Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 40 hours
• 8:00AM - 4:30PM
