Community Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our team. This rewarding opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys team collaboration and being part of a mission driven organization. This full-time opportunity offers a weekday schedule. It is based at our Vliet Clinic
Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Schedules, records, tracks and notifies members of appointments, as assigned. Arranges transportation and escorts members to appointments, as needed.
Tracks various laboratory skills and procedures.
Performs routine clinical skills and tasks including, but not limited to phlebotomy, blood glucose checks, oxygen checks, and vital signs, weights, charting information, and stocking clinics.
Reports abnormal findings to primary care or RN case manager for follow up.
Medical Assistant Job Requirements:
Education: College Diploma in Medical Assisting Required or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a direct care or administrative support role in a clinic or geriatric health care setting may be substituted.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of personal or employment experience providing care or services for adults with disabilities and the elderly population. Phlebotomy skills strongly preferred
Certification: Certified Medical Assistant preferred
