JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Assists practitioner in assigned Urgent Care and/or specialty clinic(s) in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION SHS Urology Teams diagnose and treat urological conditions in men and women including but not limited to surgical treatment of cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular) treatment of prostate disorders, kidney stone removal, vasectomy and incontinence. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (RMA or CMA) required. Six (6) months medical assistant experience required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Completion of a MA/CMA program preferred. Experience in applicable specialty area preferred. Lab/EKG experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Patient Care
