VIVO Infusion LLC Medical Assistant Clinical Service Specialist Cedar Hill TX COMPENSATION 1800 2200 hour BENEFITS Medical Dental Life Vision 401K with Match PTO Bonus Eligible Great Culture EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full Time REPORTS TO Clinic Manager FLSA STATUS Non Exempt If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care you belong with us The Vivo Infusion team is focused on taking care of our patients and each other We provide opportunities for growth and advancement as well as competitive benefits that support what matters most to you GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The individual in this role will support our operations by working with patients and managing front office tasks related to patient information The Medical Assistant is responsible for initial patient greeting and general assisting of medical support in the center This person will also assist with front office tasks including managing patient files schedules insurance billing tasks and any other duties deemed necessary for facility operations by the manager This individual provides safe effective and compassionate care that is consistent with the State Federal and Company guidelines Company policies and procedures and within hisher scope of practice PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet Patients and check them in for their service
Assist in obtaining records required for the patients chart
Schedules new and existing patients
Orders and manages supplies under the direction of manager
Stock medication delivery and record accordingly
Assist in the preparation for patient care activities under supervision of supervising nurse
Obtain vitals and update patient chart information
Performs a variety of patient care activities rendering quality patients in accordance with standards of practice
Assist the center nurses with treatment as needed
Demonstrate effective communication skills reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment day
Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control
Clean the treatment areas includes chair equipment etc with the approved facility disinfectant
Collect prepare and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directed
Stock supply cartscabinets with the supplies necessary to complete the days treatmentsSECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Immediately report any unsafe condition to the Clinic ManagerAssist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materials
Perform all duties in a professional and courteous manner
Participate in emergency evacuation procedures in the event of fire or disaster
Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient records Adhere to HIPPAComply with all Company established policies and procedures at all times
Participate in all required meetings including staff CQI and educational meetings
Request assistance or advice from supervisor as needed

Must have current Medical Assistant CertificationMinimum 6 months to 1 year clinical work required Prior proven experience in a medical setting relevant to patient care required

Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members patients and physicians
Must possess computer skills for electronic recordkeeping
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
