Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to serve as a clinical liaison to facilitate prompt patient care by assisting in the clinical area and to assure that all ordered services are completed in an efficient, organized manner under the supervision of a physician.

As a member of the care team, this position must demonstrate the highest level of service quality to patients, family members and other visitors to the clinic. Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school graduate or equivalent Required Licenses


Certifications:


Medical Assistant Certificate, Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate and/or post-high school vocational/specialized medical training certificate of degree preferred. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certificate.

Experience: At least one year related experience in a physician#s office or outpatient medical clinic. Skills and Abilities: Bi-lingual in Spanish or South East Asian languages preferred.

Able to maintain emotional stability. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with patient billing systems. Knowledge and skill with computers.

Demonstrates experience and ability to take vital signs and assist with medical examination procedures. Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 3 hours/day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours Bend/Stoop:

Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.

The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function of this position.
