Work Schedule: Part-time, 60% FTE day shift. Monday

  • Friday between the hours of 7:30am

  • 8:00pm, no weekends required. This position is located at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI but will train at University Hospital in Madison, WI until Fall 2024.

    Pay: Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.   • Carbone Cancer Center, Wisconsin's only comprehensive cancer center, as designated by the National Cancer Institute. We work to prevent cancer through risk assessments and research, and we have programs focused on early diagnosis, when cancer is most treatable.

    We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: Join the chemotherapy services team at our new Eastpark Medical Center. Provide a remarkable patient experience, as you are often one of the first people a patient interacts with at their appointment.

    Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. Room patients, take vitals, give injections and immunizations, assist with minor procedures, clean and stock infusion bays.   • High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR Licensure as an LPN OR Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program

  • Accelerated OR One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience: Preferred

  • One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications: Minimum

  • Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.

    If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
