Job Summary

Certified Medical Assistant works with the nursing staff independently to deliver routine nursing care and assessment of the pediatric patient.

  • Coordinates and organizes pertinent patient information.

  • Communicates and interacts with patient, families, staff and physicians and administration.

Schedule:

Mon

  • Fri 9a

  • 5:30p. 1st 90 days he/she will follow preceptor's schedule (e.g. 8a

  • 4:30p). Potential future shift rotation: 11a- 8:30p (Mon

  • Wed); 9a

  • 5:30p (Thurs); Off (Fri); 8a

  • 12p (Sat). Shift will change according to staffing needs. Note: Evening/Sat temporarily suspended.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • OR - GED

  • OR - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program

Certification:

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required upon hire or within 1 month with onsite training and certification.

Experience

  • Relevant Experience

  • Computer Skills to include use and navigation

  • Excellent Communications Skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent Teamwork Skills

  • Multitasking

Preferred Skills

  • Two (2) or three (3) years of experience working in a medical office

  • Pediatric experience preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
