Medical Assistant - Cayuga Orthopedics

We are seeking a dedicated medical assistant with a proven track record in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting physicians. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all clinical duties are performed within the scope of practice, adhering to New York State laws and regulations.

• Execute assigned clinical procedures to enhance patient comfort and well-being, following practice protocols.

• Accurately take and record patients' vital signs during their visits.

• Maintain and prepare exam rooms by sterilizing equipment and supplies according to established protocols.

• Support physicians/providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, test results, and patient communications in line with practice protocols.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Demonstrated clinical competency, including proficiency in aseptic techniques, sterilization, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling protocols.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with basic keyboard proficiency.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Onsite - 16 Brentwood Drive, Ithaca NY

Compensation Disclosure:

• $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
