About This Opportunity:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant with exceptional patient care skills, excellent communication abilities, and a dedication to providing concierge-level customer service. This is a full-time, 36-hour per week, onsite opportunity with eligibility for benefits.

Schedule:

  • Monday
  • Thursday: 7:30 am

  • 3:30 pm (Closed for lunch 12:00 pm

  • 1:00 pm)

  • Fridays: 7:30 am
  • 11:30 am

Location: 3138 Custer Drive, Lexington, KY 40517

The Role of the Medical Assistant:

  • Greet and room patients.

  • Obtain blood and urine samples, measure and record vital signs, and maintain clean exam rooms.

  • Perform clerical responsibilities.

  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment within the scope of the role, with or without the provider present.

  • Adhere to all clinical and clerical protocols per company policy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to include practice management.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) plus one of the following:

  • Paramedic

  • Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited MA program

  • Or 1 year relevant work experience or on the job training in lieu of certification or diploma

  • Emergency Medical Technician

  • Military trained medic

  • Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited CNA program

  • Entry through approved CareATC Internship Program or school sponsored externship program

Experience:

  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred.

  • Must possess a current BLS, CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate documentation for immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
