Knowledge, skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of medical Practice care to assist in giving patient care.
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, ad treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments and medications as directed. skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly.
Assists in the delivery of primary health care and management. Prepares patients for examination and treatment, takes patient histories and vital signs, prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, may give injections and apply splints and dressings, assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries, physicians, etc., along with other related work as required.
High school diploma or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program along with completion of a clinical externship.
Certificate/License: Requires credentialing as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
A minimum of six months medical assisting experience preferred. Strong customer service experience along with computer experience required.
Must be bilingual english & spanish needed.
