Summary

The HSHS Physician Enterprise Medical Assistant Apprentice will perform Medical Assistant duties while studying toward certification, within limits of current training while the work is guided and overseen by a mentor at the assigned location. This role works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a mentor and a licensed provider. The Medical Assistant Apprentice must pass the Medical Assistant certification exam at the end of the apprenticeship program as directed by MedCerts/US Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or GED is required.

Experience

Basic business office skills and computer skills (Microsoft Suite) are required.

Knowledge of medical terminology and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required or within 90 days of hire date.

Clinic Information

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends, no holidays, no call
