Medical Assistant

Actalent is currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant in The Woodlands, Texas area!

Job Description:

• Checking in and rooming patients.

• Inputting and updating patient demographics and medical history into the EMR systems.

• Assisting the physician with preparing the patient for examinations.

• Schedule patient tests, procedures and hospital admissions.

• Schedules appointments to follow-up on receipt of test results.

• Answers phone calls for referrals and performs administrative duties.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of back office Medical Assistant experience in any specialty such as internal medicine, oncology, endocrinology, urology, ENT.

• Surgery Scheduling experience

• Medical assistant certification.

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Information:

• Monday to Friday first shift schedule.

• Pay rate of $18-$20 hourly based on experience.
