Job Description

An opportunity to join a compassionate medical support team in a busy outpatient care center. In this role, you will work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practitioners to provide comprehensive care to patients. Your responsibilities will include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining and updating patient chart information, documenting accurately using Epic EMR, managing patient phone calls, and participating in the prior authorization process.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Work Environment

The position is based in Stamford & Greenwich, CT, at a busy outpatient GI medical center with 7 providers. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, mainly from 8:30 am to 5 pm. GI experience is a significant plus. The successful candidate should be open to working between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm and should expect to arrive 15 mins early for each shift. Our best medical assistants take the initiative to ensure all patients are cared for and work is getting done. This includes going to the waiting area, calling patients by their first name, introducing themselves by their first name, and walking patients through the process. We are looking to add another Medical Assistant to our team of 8 providers and 2 existing MAs.
