Medical Assistant

Description:

Medical Assistant for a dermatology practice.

• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision

• Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers

• Escort patient to and from exam room, help patient prepare for exam

• Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR

• Assist physician during exam/procedure

• Perform vitals

• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results and schedule follow up appointments

• Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed

• Document all medical instructions given to patients

• Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies

Shift:

Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Dermatology experience is preferred. OK with no derm. Scribing experience would be a big plus. 1-2 years minimum of back office medical assisting experience.

Experience rooming patients and taking vitals

Must be a team player
