Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a Family Practice Facility. Responsibilities include back office duties such as checking in and out patients, recording vitals, logging information into the NexGen EMR/EHR system, and verifying insurance. You will also cover the front desk during the receptionist's lunch break and be cross-trained to support all departments as a floater.

Hard Skills

• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant

• Experience with both back office and some front office responsibilities

• BLS Certification (AHA)

• Proficiency in NexGen (EMR System)

• Knowledge in EKG/Phlebotomy is a plus

Soft Skills

• Ability to multitask and adapt to different departments

• Strong communication skills

• Detail-oriented

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in West Covina, California.

Work Environment

Located in a Primary Care Clinic in West Covina, the work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-5 with no weekend work. The facility offers holiday pay.
