Are you ready to?

  • Assemble product in a clean room environment based on prescribed work instructions

  • Analyze the effectiveness of assembled medical component or medical product for functionality

  • Inspect medical components for part defect and help take corrective action

  • Prepare and sort finished products for packing

Do you Have?

  • Strong manual and spatial dexterity and strong hand eye coordination

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively in a team environment

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Overview: This individual will work closely with production personnel and engineers to prepare components and assemble electromechanical assemblies. Performs all functions related to the assembly process from picking component inventory through final assembly of process equipment tooling, fixtures, and devices. This job reports to the Production Manager. Responsibilities: * The employee will read blueprints, process instructions, schematics, mechanical drawings, pictures and other diagrams to assemble complex assemblies and subassemblies. * Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements. * Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools. * Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications. Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping. * Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers. * Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills. File, lap, and buff parts to fit, using hand and power tools. * Operate or tend automated assembling equipment, such as robotics and fixed automation equipment. Operate small cranes to transport or position large parts. * Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance. * Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. * Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. * Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. * Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. * Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively. * Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate. * Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. * Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. * Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. * Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. * Arm-Hand Steadiness — The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. * Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, lying on back and handling of materials. * Ability to lift 40 lbs. Qualifications: * High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years related experience required. Associates degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
