Coordinate and schedules all medical appointments and serves as a liaison between doctors and pharmacies. Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30-4. Responsibilities also include maintaining and updating all medical records, providing transportation to and from doctor's appointments and completing necessary documentation and paperwork. Hours may vary based on medical appointments.

Previous or related experience preferred. Valid driver's license, auto insurance and acceptable driving record, and HS Diploma or GED required.

The beginning wage for this position is $15.00/hr

Status: Non-Exempt

Title: Medical Advocate

Responsible to: Charge Nurse

Objective: Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the medical advocate will assist in organizing, arranging, and completing visits with outside professionals as required to meet the medical needs of each individual, integrating medical needs and services into the individual program plans for each participant.

Training and Experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Experience in developmental disabilities or long-term care preferred
