Medical Administrative Support Assistant I - Student Health Center
The UT Student Health Center is seeking a full-time Medical Admin Support Assistant I to perform administrative support activities. Duties will be carried out in accordance with established standards and ethics of medical confidentiality and as stated in the Student Health Center's policies.
1.Serving as a receptionist who welcomes, directs, and screens visitors, student, and staff
2.Serves as an appointment clerk
3.Scanning, copying of medical records
4.Maintain medical confidentiality
5.Must determine eligibility of students being seen in the clinic.
6.Collection of health insurance information and updating demographic information
7.To assist other departments of the Student Health Center
8.To provide customer service for internal and external customers of the Student Health Center
9.Must perform minor housekeeping functions to maintain the lobby area and desk areas
10.Other duties as assigned by UTSHC Administrator, Supervisor or Designee
High School Graduate or GED
Must have computer skills and be familiar with a Windows based operating system
Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds, bend over, stand and walk well
Must have good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Must have ability to answer a multi-line phone and speak face-to face with individuals
Minimum of two years of office experience; Preference given for medical office experience.
