To perform executive level administrative assistance to the faculty of the Division of Hematology/Oncology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Greet and assist patients on the telephone by triaging patient inquires and concerns to appropriate clinical and non-clinical team members.
Receives and reviews all incoming correspondence and determines proper action.
Composes routine correspondence, such as attending physician statements, return to work, and emails.
Process and track request for medical forms and orders.
Acts as a liaison between the Hospital, University and other departments, outside agencies and the community.
Process hospital admission and obtain the necessary insurance authorization.
Keep track of all medical licensure and expiration dates.
Manage the attending physician and fellow monthly on-call schedule.
Manage office and equipment supply inventory.
Assists with special projects and programs as needed.

Works collaboratively with members and staff across service lines
Demonstrates an awareness and sensitivity towards patient/family rights
Complies with departmental standards regarding training and professional development
Minimum of 5 years of job related experience supporting multiple provider (+10), in a non-clinical administrative role.
Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written skills including correct grammar, editing skills and customer service skills.
Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Reader.
